Add a Little Art to the New Year

By Nicole Neufeld, Director of Public Programs

When setting our New Year’s resolutions, we tend to think of healthy habits that need revisiting.  Giving your creativity a jump start should not be left off that list!  This winter, we have many great classes and workshops to help you explore new art practices and old favourites.  We have programs designed for every age, so your whole family can come to KW|AG and put their imaginations to work. Two of our most popular classes are Art Explorations and Artlab – designed for kids aged 6 -12.

You don’t have to take my word for it – here is what a few kids had to say:

“My favourite part was learning to make all different kinds of art.”
“[I liked] all the fun projects we did and the friendly teacher.”
“It was fun and I made new friends.”

And here’s what parents had to say:

“There was something new and exciting each week.”
“Love the format – take all classes for a discount or pick and choose what you want [for Artlab].”
“Small class size is great – with lots of help.  The kids really succeed with their projects.”
“Excellent experience, my son loved it!”

Our six week Art Explorations class with Steve Lavigne begins Tuesday, January 31 and Artlab with Karoline Varin-Jarkowski begins Saturday, January 28. Take all of the Artlab classes or pick and choose the ones you like best.

Take a look at our winter Art Exploration and Artlab classes online. You’ll also find our spring classes as well.

And don’t let the kids have all the fun this winter.  We offer one-off workshops and a series of studio classes for adults and teens too.
