You’ve likely noticed the Otto Street side of our building is undergoing a makeover. Work began last week on the road and that means there is no vehicle access from that side of Centre In The Square – yup that’s where we’re located in case you still don’t know ; )
I thought I’d post some pictures of the progress and remind everyone that the Gallery is still OPEN and that the Otto Street entrance is still accessible by foot. If you need to drop off your kids by car for Summer Art Camp you can do so easily from the Ellen Street side of the building. If you are planning a visit and need to park check out our website for parking information.
The Gallery’s latest exhibitions open tomorrow (July 18) and that means a sort of reconstruction has been taking place inside the Gallery as well. Our intallation crew has been hard at work getting things ready. Collecting Resonance: Works from KW|AG’s Permanent Collection and DodoLab’s Light Motives: an exploration of Kitchener’s past future and future past are coming together incredibly. The exhibitions are on view through September 16, 2012. They are the perfect chance for you to come out and celebrate the City of Kitchener and get a closer look at the art work in our permanent collection. Join us this Friday (July 20) for the official Opening Reception at 7 pm. Admission is free and we hope you’ll stop in for a visit.
